The client had observed a niche within the real estate market that allowed people searching for rental properties to have tailored results based off their unique lifestyle requirements - eg: proximity to schools, shops, places of worship and more. Pretzel Lab was engaged to help them test and validate their customer value proposition, design interfaces and create prototypes to explore what the app could look like. The client was after a quick POC that could be used to gain investment to develop the product further.
We worked very closely with the client and involved them throughout our process to ensure we were delivering the product as they envisioned. There were technical considerations around utilising specific data sources that would feed into the recommendations engine to suggest properties that weren't initially dependent on suburb preference.
We ran numerous workshops and co-design sessions and helped articulate the problem to be solved, who it was for and the various approaches that we could take - distilling our findings down into an MVP that could then be built upon for future releases. The process was rapid, iterative and maintained energy throughout which helped drive a solution to a tight deadline.
From concepts to sketches, wireframes to hi-fidelity designs and prototypes - we were able to bring their idea to life in a POC with a tangible pathway through to delivery and beyond.
Outcomes and Results
Our client was immensely happy with the final outcomes that really bought the concept to life allowing them to present a firm vision to potential investors and take the product from an idea to reality.
The combination of data processing and the ability to visualise complex search outcomes in the rental space meant that we pushed the boundaries on what searching for a more appropriate rental property could look like.
